Stabbing on Herbert Road, Small Heath on 30th September 2017

Green Lane Masjid and Community Centre (GLMCC), condemns the stabbing of a 14 year old boy on Herbert Road Small Heath in the early hours of this morning.

Amer Ijaz, General Manager of GLMCC said:

“We are shocked to hear of the stabbing of a young man outside a Mosque in Herbert Road today who remains critically ill in hospital. Our prayers are with the victim, his family and the local community.”

He continued “There cannot be any justification for such horrific acts of violence irrespective of the motive – as a community we must come together to stem such acts of mindless violence.  I urge anyone who may have witnessed the attack or has any other information which may help the investigation to contact West Midlands Police.”
